Comfort is a stance of avoidance rather than the pursuit of excellence.

What I’ve deemed as impossible is more the fiction I’ve created to avoid the failure I fear.

Ignorance is avoiding that which stands in front of me out of the misplaced hope that it will put what I’m ignoring behind me. Instead, it’s most certain to drop it on top of me.

We spend far too much of our lives running from that which we fear. But if we were to assess where the running has actually taken us, we would discover that it hasn’t.

Apathy is unconditional surrender where we are driven into hiding by unrealistic fear, and firmly held there by the misinformed belief that we are helpless to do anything other than hide. Therefore, apathy survives solely on lies and can be completely abated by truth.

Life is riotously oblivious to the concept of ‘giving up’. Rather, it’s only the forlorn muse of our frightened intellect that causes us to ‘pack it up’ when life is ‘picking it up’.

Diversions and detours of our grandest designs only serve to bolster our need to be in the places that we’re vigorously trying to walk away from.

Too often I’ve decided not to decide for fear that deciding might be a bad decision. But that decision is based on the rant of fear verses the whisper of wisdom.

While it may seem incomprehensible to many, the path to victory is often achieved by understanding that surrender, rightly timed and wisely executed, is what positions situations for victory in a manner that we could not otherwise coerce.
