Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life.’” In this single sentence we have the power to destroy our entire world by simply changing out one name and replacing it with our own. And I wonder how much destruction we need to experience before we quit playing editor?

Given the giants in my life, I’ve discovered that I need the wisdom to know when to sling a stone and when not to sling one. For sometimes not to sling a stone is the most deadly stone of all.

I always ask God how I can do more. And many times the answer was that I needed the faith to do less.

We would sit on the old glider swing, my Grandmother and I. And as people passed her broad front porch, she would point and say, “The best life you can live is when you touch at least one life a day for Jesus.” And today, I am writing this to touch you.

I don’t know how we explain our existence without explaining something bigger than us. And if we can explain something bigger than us, it must not be bigger than us. Hence, we are left with God.

I don’t wish to explain the existence of God, for the absence of Him does that quite well.

When you sit and talk with the Creator of the Universe before the day begins, you don’t need to worry about how it will end.

We will know that our rebellion against God has reached a peak when we spend our lives attempting to force failed alternatives to work despite their failures. And if we persist, this ‘peak’ of rebellion will become the valley our of demise.

All I know is that if God’s not in it, you can be confident that neither am I.
