The restless adventurer within me stands eye-to-eye with the fear that has stepped directly in my path. And the thing I absolutely must not do is to blink first.

Any dream that I am absolutely confident I can achieve should immediately be discarded for the simple reason that it is simply too small.

To fall is not to fail. To fail is to never fall because I never got up in the first place.

Starting over is opportunity informed by failure, which is opportunity made intelligent.

When we choose to stay down, we are in reality confusing wisdom with cowardice. When we choose to stand back up, we are using wisdom to overcome cowardice.

How we got knocked down doesn’t matter until we get back up.

My passion always runs ahead of my abilities. But in the process of keeping a close second, my abilities get a great workout.

We may not necessarily be all that gifted, but we certainly have passion. And maybe we should start understanding that passion is a gift of such importance that without it any other gift doesn’t matter. Therefore, we are gifted indeed.

I watched a squirrel fall from a rather high branch. Upon hitting the ground, he bounced slightly, paused, shook himself vigorously and then immediately scampered back up to the very same place on the very same branch from which he’d fallen. There are some that might call that stupidity. Then there are others like myself who would call that tenacity. And while I generally have no interest in being a squirrel, in this particular respect I wouldn’t mind being like one.
