I don’t define darkness as the absence of light. Rather, I define it as the absence of God. And in that sense, it’s never dark.

Eternity is never having to show up because there was never a time that you were not there. And because this is the nature of God, it’s not about asking Him to show up in our lives. Rather, it’s about asking Him to shine through our lives.

Faith is embracing the invisible simply because the invisible is the precursor to everything that is visible. Therefore, to lack faith is to lack everything.

Frankly speaking, I could care less if my plans succeed. However, I do care if God’s plans do. Therefore, none of myself and all of God is the plan.

Likely the greatest ability that I have is the ability to acknowledge my inability so that I might make room for God’s ability.

If it’s dependent upon me, it will likely land on you. If it’s dependent on God, you will likely land on it.

If I think about it, I am truly a ‘self-made’ man. For in fact I’ve ‘made’ a real mess out of what God ‘made,’ and I ‘made’ that mess all by myself.

It was at the point where I was convinced of my own death that God finally convinced me of His life. And I stand amazed that my death birthed His life.

The absence of God in our lives is a result of our absence of reason, for if He is absent it is because we requested it. So, to have an absence of reason that results in the absence of God leaves me absent of both.
