I have both paper and pencil. And as I write out the script of my life, I’m not worried about how I hold the paper, but I am worried about how I hold the pen.

I can be absolutely assured that any endeavor of which God is not a part is most certainly a step backward. And any step backward is at least two steps behind where I’d be if I’d have gone forward in the first place.

Decisions are the privilege we’ve been granted to have a hand in penning the script of our lives. And in the writing, the question is not the availability of the paper or the pen. The question is the wisdom to use them rightly.

Every single day in a thousand different ways, the script that I am writing across the pages of my life is dramatically impacting how others are writing theirs. And if I dare to recognize that I am writing far more scripts than this single one that I hold in my hand, would I not hold the page of this day and apply the pen of how I lived it in an unimaginably different way?

Instinct is all of our humanity being deliberately honest with all of life.

We weave the majority of our problems on the loom of our decisions.

Just because we choose to do nothing doesn’t mean that nothing will happen because we did nothing.

To think that you don’t have a choice is actually a choice that’s an attempt to relieve you of the guilt of not making a choice.

We need to pay attention to our decisions, for they will determine the losses that we will experience as well as the losses that we will avoid.
