This is indeed the nature of worldly life, isn’t it? We anticipate happiness in old age. But in old age we develop severe back pain, which will not let us sit peacefully. That is why people are searching for moksha [ultimate liberation]; once we reach our own place, there will be no problems, right?

Where indeed is the happiness in this worldly life? These are illusory beliefs. That is why ‘we’ openly say that, “The happiness that you seek cannot be found in ‘this’ (worldly life). Happiness is in the Self (Atma).” ‘We’ have tasted that happiness, ‘we’ have experienced it. That is why ‘we’ tell everyone, “Come on ‘this side’ (of the Self), there is no happiness on the ‘other side’ (in worldly life)!

What does 'community service' mean? It destroys 'my' (sense of attachment for specific things, especially oneself) for the most part. If 'my' were to be destroyed completely, then One (the awakened Self, potey) is indeed the absolute Self (parmatma)! Then for Him, bliss will definitely prevail, will it not!

As long as one is involved in worldly interactions, there is pleasure of the mind; and after knowing the Self (Soul), there is bliss of the Soul.

After getting respect, one will get an equal amount of insult, if not in this life then the next. If you taste even the slightest of pleasure from this body-complex [pudgal], you will have to pay back an equivalent amount. Therefore become attachment-free (vitarag).

This worldly life is an ocean of unhappiness. It is just beyond comprehension how people have found happiness in it. Just as a drunken man sticks his hand in the gutter and says, "This feels very cool to me, it's very cooling;" similarly people are just believing that there is happiness in it!

The worldly life means a factory of pain and pleasure.

What is considered moksha of the Vitraags [the enlightened ones]? It is where despite having a physical body, pain does not touch him, hence even worldly happiness does not affect him. The natural happiness keeps arising from within.

The desire (ichchha) to indulge in happiness that is temporary is referred to as spruha.
