No one takes birth. Being born is an ‘effect’. Birth takes place automatically. If the causes are nurtured, rebirth is inevitable. The Gnani Purush (the enlightened one) can put a stop to the ‘causes’ and so only the effect will remain.

If you walk around proudly when someone greets you with respect or says, ‘welcome, welcome’, you will suffer a loss, right? Here, it was the other person’s duty [social obligation] to welcome you, but you shouldn’t fall short. So you should immediately check your balance-sheet (of karma) to find out where you sustained a loss!

If one does not know how to read the account (karmic) book, then he will start to have doubts, and doubts lead to unhappiness.

Pain and pleasure will keep coming; that is all scientific circumstantial evidence. Pain and pleasure are effective (effects of past causes). In such situations, one should do something that will not cause effects to arise.

What are merit (Punya) and demerit (Paap) karma? God resides in every living being in this world. So do not have an inner slightest intent to hurt any living being. Otherwise, you will bind demerit (paap) karma for the wrong doing. And when you have the intent to give happiness to others or when you give the slightest happiness to others, then you give happiness to God, for which you will bind merit (punya) karma.

Will the train leaving at 10:15 have an accident or the train leaving at 10:30? How would one know? What is the point of needless worries? You just have to decide that you want to leave early then, whatever happens is correct.

Instead of wasting so much time trying to break the negative, why not automatically join the positive right away? Why waste time in trying to push away bad deeds (bad karmas)?

No matter how much difficulty one faces in satsang (the company of enlightened one) it is good but any amount of happiness of kusang (the company of bad people) is useless.
