That which reduces ego is considered knowledge of the Enlightened Ones (Vitraagi Gnan). And the ego that is reduced through conduct and rituals is considered to be according to God’s special directives (agna). But (actually) the ego has increased! That is the very misery!

Understanding is the conduct. “I” tell you not to bring it into conduct. Nothing will be gained from teaching forced conduct. To put something in conduct is egoism. That which comes into understanding, will manifest into conduct without fail.

The Lord says, if you move away from your ego, if you maintain humility (utmost humbleness), then you and I are the same. Otherwise, you and I are separate.

The worldly life exists because of ‘egoism’. Karmic bondage is because of ‘egoism’. If egoism can be stopped in any of the ways, then one can be free (from this worldly life & attain ultimate liberation).

Your life is built on egoism only. How can you get rid of it? You have to tell ‘us’ (the Gnani Purush and the manifested Lord within him) ‘get rid of my egoism’, and ‘we’ will remove it.

You attain a ‘temporary life’ through ‘egoism’ and an ‘eternal life’ without ‘egoism’. ‘Egoism’ is like the string that is wound around a top; it what ‘discharges’.

I did this’, this gives rise to egoism. ‘This is mine’, it gives rise to attachment (mamta).

Karmic bondage is built on egoism. Other than egoism, binding karma is not dependent on any other action. I-ness (vikalp) and my-ness (sankalp) are based on egoism and that is karmic bondage. In whatever the ego exists, that is its bondage.

Antahkaran (inner complex of mind, intellect, chit and ego) is exactly like a parliament. In that ego is the president, intellect is the prime minister, chit is the foreign department, and mind is the home department.
