The One who can make one forget (vismrut) the world, is indeed the very One who can bring an end to the 'charging' of karma!

What would happen if thieves were to go to the jewellers at day time? They would be beaten up, and at night time, the thieves would beat up the jewellers. That is how changes take place in accordance with the time. The control (satta) changes in accordance with the time. Each one has its own separate, different time.

If your merit karma is unfolding, then the other person will speak well of you; and if your demerit karma is unfolding, then the other person will curse at you. Who is at fault in this? Therefore, you should say, "It is definitely my unfolding karma and the other person is just an evidentiary doer (nimit)." By doing so, our karmic fault will fall off (discharge) and no new one will be bound.

One believes himself to be the doer, that is why karma is formed. If one does not believe himself to be the doer of that karma, then the karma is destroyed.

It is a fault for anyone to say, "He is doing." To say, "He is not doing," is a fault. And to say, "I am doing," is also a fault. The unfolding karma makes one 'do' whereas one says, "This person did that.

The circumstances of those things which you come across, that is prarabdh (effect of past life karma) while the bhaav-abhaav (like-dislike) that arises from them, that is purusharth (effort that charges karma).

There are two types of purusharth (effort): one is the purusharth that arises from prarabdh (effect of past life karma), relative effort. The seeds that are sown from prarabdh give rise to relative effort. The second purusharth is the effort that arises after one attains Purush (the Self), real effort. With whatever intent one suffers the effect of past life karma, that intent is bhrant purusharth (illusory effort)!

Purusharth (effort) is in the form of planning (cause), whereas prarabdh (unfolding of past life karma) is that which materializes as an effect.

As long as you have to take support from anything, until then it is prarabdh (effect of past life karma).
