Whatever one’s belief arises, he will find tools corresponding to his beliefs. With the belief of the ‘Self’, there is only one ‘tool’ to acquire the Knowledge of the Self, that tool is the ‘Gnani Purush’ (the enlightened one). Contemplation of the Gnani Purush (the enlightened one) is the very tool with which the Soul will continue to manifest.

Distress (vyakudta) gives rise to all the unhappiness, and all unhappiness is destroyed by attaining the distress-free (nirakudta) state from the Gnani Purush (the Enlightened One).

If a person wants to walk on the path of the Vitrag (Enlightened Ones), he should turn the upayog (applied awareness) from bad to good. And if the person wants to attain moksha (ultimate liberation), he should keep shudha upayog (pure applied awareness as the Self). The person who wants to attain moksha should not get into the intricacy of good or bad, and should keep them both as things to be ‘discharged’.

Upayog (applied awareness) is considered as Jagruti (awakened awareness).

A veil over the Knowledge of the Self (Gnan) is agnan, and a veil over the Vision of the Self (Darshan) is adarshan. What would be the outcome of agnan and adarshan? Kashay (anger-pride-deceit-greed). And what is the result of Gnan-Darshan? Samadhi (freedom from the effects of mental, physical, and externally-induced problems).

A Gnani (Enlightened one) never wastes his time in counting money; upayog (applied awareness of Self) gets wasted in doing so. Upayog is where the interest is.

To be able to see one’s own faults; this is known as Enlightened vision (Samkit; Self-realization; right belief).

Chit impurity is due to the relative vision. When the vision becomes real (enlightened), purification of chit occurs.

Chit’s tendencies can become pure [transparent] in front of God, but people don’t have this knowhow. The easiest solution to purify chit’s tendencies is to associate with a person who has the least amount of desires and the ultimate solution to make them pure is the inner visual contemplation (niddidhyasan) of the Vitarag (the enlightened ones who are free of all attachments).
