Moksha is indeed one’s own nature. When (one’s) knowledge-vision-conduct become enlightened (samayak,becomes right), that is called moksha.

To have neither the slightest attachment (raag) towards the one who is most obliging nor have the slightest abhorrence (dwesh) towards the one who is most troublesome; such is the conduct as a Vitaraag (One free from attachment and abhorrence) that has to be known.

Everyone’s conduct that is visible is a result of the past life and the astitva (the prevalence of 'I') is actually at a different place today. The prevalence of 'I' may currently be at 100 but the conduct may be at 98. The prevalence of 'I' is of this life and the conduct is of the past life.
