Dharma (function or properties) of the mind, dharma of the intellect, dharma of the chit, dharma of the ego – when all these dharma and the dharma of the Self (Soul) come into their own dharma (functions); that is known as Gnan (Knowledge of Self). And if we (self) insist upon any one’s dharma; it becomes ignorance (agnan).

Illusion is an intellectual knowledge (buddhijanya). Intellectual knowledge is vikalpi (uncertain, with wrong belief of the self). Whereas, the Real Knowledge (Gnan) is nirvikalpi (Certain, free from I-ness & My-ness). There is no feeling of differences in it. Therefore one is to only understand the real knowledge.

One may have knowledge of every subject in the world, but egotistic knowledge goes into intellect, and non-egotistic knowledge goes into Gnan (Absolute Knowledge, Knowledge of Pure Soul).

Agna (energy and power of worldly intellect) will not let one get out of worldly life, and pragna (light of the Pure Soul) will not leave you until it takes you to moksha (ultimate liberation).

How does the antahkaran (inner complex of mind, intellect, chit and ego) suddenly originate? It is a scientific circumstantial evidence. Mind arises when the evidence is right, or if the evidence is right, the ego, chit or intellect will arise. No one has the ownership. Everything is independent, it is all according to a parliamentary mode.

Antahkaran (inner complex of mind, intellect, chit and ego) has action. No one has to run it. It runs on its own. Running on its own means it is in a discharge form.

Antahkaran (inner complex of mind, intellect, chit and ego) is not made up of four separate parts, it is one. But it takes the form of whatever is at work at a particular time. During the time the mind is working, the antahkaran takes on the form of the mind. Then when the intellect works, it takes on the form of the intellect and when the chit is functioning, it takes on the form of the chit. The ego is always with the intellect; it is never alone.

The one who gives an immediate decision, gives a solution, it is the intellect (buddhi). If one becomes confused, he is of lesser intellect.

When circumstantial evidences come together, the mind gets involved in thoughts. The one that has the thoughts is the mind. At that time, the chit (knowledge & vision) goes out, if the work is external, or stays and wanders within, if the work is internal. Intellect gives the decision. Intellect then accepts either the decision of the chit or of the mind and becomes one with it. So then ego endorses it and signs off on it. This is how the parliamentary system (of antahkaran) works.
