Starting from being in the mother’s womb to all the way to the cemetery, everything one does; it is all an effect (prarabdha - effect of past life causes). It is all mandatory.

If you ask God what is all this? He will tell you that it is nothing. Everyone is experiencing their own karmas (deeds).

Gross circumstances, subtle circumstances, and circumstances of the speech are of the non-Self (not mine); and dependent on an external power. External circumstances are gross (tangible; sthool). The thoughts of the mind are subtle (shookshma) circumstances, and the circumstances of speech are of the non-Self, and dependent upon external power. They are not in our control.

Lord is an abode of endless bliss. If you like happiness & you do not like misery, then worship the Lord. And if you like misery and do not like happiness, then worship the material (inanimate).

Being the ‘Knower’ of the unfolding karmic effect will result in resolution and being the ‘enjoyer’ of the unfolding karmic effect will result in suffering. In fact, unfolding karmic effects do not belong to the Self.

One who does not join in with the unfolding karmic effects (karma oodai) is a Gnani (Self-realized), and an agnani (non-Self-realized) cannot indeed refrain from joining in with the unfolding karmic effects.

The one whose ego of doer-ship in the unfolding karma effect (oodai no garva) is gone; he is said to have attained the Self.

Real Purusharth (spiritual effort to progress as the Self) actually happens when one becomes impartial towards his own self.

What is considered as Purusharth (real spiritual effort to progress as the Self)? It is when there is a sense of independence (swatantrapanu), there is Self-dependency (Swa-dhin), there is no dependency on external factors (paradhin). Whereas here, work is only done when other circumstances come together. That which happens subject to scientific circumstantial evidences is prarabdh (an effect of past life karma).
