Where there are kashays (anger-pride-deceit-greed), there is worldly life. As long as anger-pride-deceit-greed exist; one is a sansaari [living a worldly life] regardless of whether one is an ascetic or a family man. And where anger-pride-deceit-greed are absent, one is regarded as being asansaari [non-worldly], be he an ascetic or a family man.

It is called saiyam [inner control] when anger-pride-deceit-greed are under control. However those who renounce are not called saiyami [those with inner control]; they are called ‘tyagi’, one who renounces worldly life.

The kashays (inner anger, pride, deceit and greed) that keep one entrenched in the coolness of the worldly life are the very thing that makes one wander life after life.

Kashays [anger-pride-deceit-greed] will not leave by suppressing them, they go away through Gnan (Enlightened Knowledge).

When does one become free from all tubers (of the mind)? When one becomes free of kashayas (anger-pride-deceit-greed). Kashays (anger-pride-deceit-greed) are tubers themselves.

Complete departure of kashay (anger-pride-deceit-greed) is Moksha (Liberation). At first, there is the departure of kashays and then there will be ‘that’ [Liberation].

Absence of Kashays (anger-pride-deceit-greed) is indeed bliss.

In this worldly life, man is a prisoner of everything. He is a prisoner of the mind, a prisoner of the intellect, a prisoner of the chit, a prisoner of the anger-pride-deceit-greed; how can a prisoner of all these ever become free?

Whole belief has arisen due to darshan mohaniya (illusion caused by wrong vision of the Self, right belief deluding karma) and that is why the kashays (anger, pride, deceit, greed) have arisen. Presently the connection is due to the kashay. But where did the kashays come from? They came from the deluded vision.
