That which blocks circumstances is artadhyan (mournful contemplation that hurts the self) and that which pushes away circumstances is also artadhyan. To push way unhappiness and to prevent happiness from leaving is all artadhyan.

It is considered as artadhyan (adverse internal state that results in hurting the self) only when the mind and the Self (Soul) become engrossed with one another; and also when one does not realize that artadhyan has occurred. And if one realizes that artadhyan has occurred, then it is not called artadhyan; then it is the mind.

Anger-pride-deceit-greed are in the form of ‘discharge’. But if a person does not have Self-realization, new ones will be charged within.

That which does not make one to do artadhyan (mournful contemplation that hurts the self) and raudradhyan (wrathful contemplation that hurts the self and others) is called the Atma (the Soul).

If we create an environment where someone is hurt, then it will create Conflict (affliction) within us.

One should get as much pleasure from spending money as one gets from earning it. But at that time, one says, ‘I spent too much money!

I did this so well’- one says this and tastes the sweetness of subtle pride of doership. One enjoys the sweetness of this subtle pride. There is pain [suffering] with projection of doer-ship. God is eternal bliss and that indeed is the nature of the Self!

If ‘one’ really were the sufferer or the enjoyer, then he would get tired. But the Self in reality is not experiencing anything. He simply does egoism only.

Whether you practice craftiness in your business, you will have profit and if you do not practice craftiness, then also you will have [same] profit. Craftiness creates a liability for the next life. So God had said not to do craftiness. There is no benefit in it and there is infinite suffering.
