Just maintain such an intent, 'It will be great if customers come!' Thereafter, do not strain yourself in vain. To maintain regularity and to not spoil your intent is considered relative effort. If customers do not come, then you should not get upset and if someday they come by the truck load, then you should satisfy everyone.

There is a purpose to each and every thing that has to be done. If the purpose is that of serving others (sevabhaav), then you will definitely receive wealth (lakshmi) as a 'by-product'. Our purpose should be only this much, 'To use whatever skill/knowledge we know for the intent of serving others.

Egoism and Money [Goddess of wealth; Lakshmi] are very much at odds [have great enmity]. There should be just enough egoism to accomplish one’s work. Beyond that, any expanded egoism and money have great enmity. Money (Lakshmi) stays away from it.

During anger, the parmanus (subatomic particles) are fiery and fierce and during greed, there are parmanus (subatomic particles) of attraction towards money.

The Enlightened one (Gnani Purush) never wastes his time in counting money; focus of the awareness of the self (upayog) is wasted in doing this. One's focused awareness (upayog) is where he has ‘interest’!

People live for two reasons. There are those who live for the Soul; such people are very rare. All others live for money. All day is spent for money, money, money!

It is not worth having a burden about money. One breathes a sigh of relief when he deposits money in the bank but becomes unhappy when the money is gone. There is nothing in this world worth being relieved about because it is all temporary.

People are preoccupied only with money. They are looking to see where they can get it from. Hey, why are you looking for it in a ‘cemetery’? This worldly life has become like a cemetery. There is no love to be seen in it. The way in which money comes to one is a natural thing. It is (by way of) scientific circumstantial evidences. Why do we have to run after it? If it were to free (liberate) us itself, then it would be very good, right?

When will money not come to one? It is when he speaks ill of others and scandalizes. Money will come to the one who has purity of mind, body and speech.
