In scriptures, there is knowledge about the different methods, it does not have the knowledge of the ultimate goal (to experience Pure Soul). Gnani (Enlightened One) has the knowledge of the ultimate goal. Knowledge about the goal, which is the Soul, is obtained as a result of Gnani’s grace.

The knowledge of this world is not considered knowledge, it is worldly knowledge. Scriptural knowledge is considered as instrumental knowledge. Knowledge of the ‘ultimate goal’ (to experience Pure Soul) is the (real) knowledge. Scriptures are instruments and the knowledge within the scriptures is also an instrument. Whereas, the knowledge of the Self is the ultimate goal!

The mind is vitarag (free from attachment) but the self ventures into it (becomes one with it). If you jump into a well, what can the mind do? If you can remain separate from the mind, one is considered to have the vision of the Soul (atma drashti). That is the beginning of becoming the Absolute Supreme Soul – Parmatma.

When one becomes anami (immortal) he will not have death.

The nature of the Pudgal (Complex of intake and output; body complex) is restlessness (unsteadiness) and the nature of the Real Self (Soul) is stillness. As restlessness increases, one moves more towards the Pudgal (Complex of intake and output; body complex). And as the stillness increases, one moves towards the Soul (the real Self).

You yourself are in the form of ego. As long as there is ignorance of the Self, you are in the egoism form and after attaining ‘Gnan’ (‘Real’ Knowledge), you become your own real Self (The Soul).

When one attains the knowledge of Self (Pure Soul), he becomes the owner of the whole universe. Until then all are disciples. After attaining the Self Realization, one is a disciple as well as one is a God.

The Soul can be worshipped only after attaining the Soul (Realization of the Self). Worship removes the veils of ignorance (avaran) and one can see more. It all depends on whose worship one is doing. By worshiping the one who has attained the Soul (the enlightened one), namely the Gnani Purush, one can attain the Soul (realize the self).

Knowledge of the non-Self (paudgalik-gnan) is called agnan (ignorance). Knowledge of the Self is called atma-gnan (realization of the soul). To attain pure knowledge of the Self (The Soul), both, paudgalik-gnan (knowledge of the non self) and atma-gnan (knowledge of the self), are necessary.
