Shukladhyan (internal state that renders the constant awareness of ‘I am pure Soul’) is the direct cause for moksha (liberation). Dharmadhyan (absence of adverse internal state of being that hurts the self and others) is the indirect cause for moksha. Artadhyan (adverse internal state that results in hurting the self) is a cause for a birth in animal life form (non-human). Raudradhyan (Adverse internal state of being that hurts others) is a cause for a life in hell.

To see happiness of others is indeed our religion.

Anything you do to prevent inauspicious contemplation (durdhyan, to hurt others by mind,body,speech,etc.) is dharmadhyan (auspicious contemplation, to not hurt anyone, to give happiness to others).

Our religion (the Self’s duty) is to ‘know’ the one who carries out the worldly actions. Doing those activities is not in our hands. Activity is a tool. It is like a potholder, tongs and a spatula. After eating rice, there is no need for the potholder and the pot.

To know the difference between essence (that which is helpful) and non-essence (that which is not helpful) is called wisdom (good judgement). One cannot be called a human if he does not have the awareness of the essence and the non-essence.

To think about essence (that which is helpful) and non-essence (that which is not helpful) is called wisdom (good judgement). If one has wisdom, then vairaag (freedom from passion or attachment to worldly pleasures) arises. And if vairaag is there, then renunciation (tyaag) will remain, otherwise renunciation (tyaag) will not remain. Renunciation will not last without the “basement” of vairaag.

One should not forget even for a moment, the satsang (company of the eternal) that has been beneficial to him. When a person finds the right path, he says ‘let’s sit for two days & wait’. Hey, as it is the path which cannot be found but when he finds it, he sits & does not take benefit. That is called foolishness.

Worldly efforts (laukik purusharth) are all an effect (prarabdha – effect of past life causes). To work in one’s profession is an effect (prarabdha). To give sermons, is also an effect. Even listening to this satsang is an effect. That in which there is dependency upon other things; it is all effect (prarabdha).

Kusang (the company of bad people) is that which takes you away from the religious path. Stay far away from it; Kusang is itself a poison.
