If we say we're all right and meet a team in the first round that's been hungry for the last month, that's a problem. We'll do our best to guard against that. At no point are we going to say we're going to back off.

I've thought about that before. If we had just been halfway decent against L.A., we probably would have pushed it a little farther. But this is good incentive for us right now. One of the ways to make the playoffs is to win your division, and that was something we set out to do right from the start. We've got to keep pushing in that direction.

They've always played tough games against us, so we've known about them for a while. Now the rest of the league is starting to find out.

I think we've gotten some timely goals, and the pucks have gone in for us. I don't know, I think we've played better games against other teams and not scored as many. I think it's a fluke thing that we've been able to capitalize on as many chances as we have.

We were up against the top team in the Western Conference and we look at them as a measuring stick for us. We didn't get the result we wanted, but that just shows us that we still have some work to do.

We have had some games that have been lopsided against them, so human nature tells you that it's in the back of your mind.

I'm disappointed we didn't play well from the start and do what we did in the third period for the whole game. We'll have to play a lot better against Ottawa.
