Discipleship never consists in this or that specific action: it is always a decision, either for or against Jesus Christ.

To endure the cross is not tragedy; it is the suffering which is the fruit of an exclusive allegiance to Jesus Christ.

Cheap grace is grace without discipleship, grace without the cross, grace without Jesus Christ, living and incarnate.

And the fact that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead is the sole ground of my hope that I, too, will be raised on the day of judgment
