The child in us remains. It lives in our weaknesses. It lives in our trust. It lives in our desire to hold another’s hand. It lives in our devotion to something more than ourselves.

No one has to be a martyr. On the contrary, everyone should be entirely selfish; not selfish in the normal sense of the word but selfish in the way of knowing that the spiritual path means we value everything which adds to our own well-being. When we love, we live with connectedness. When we forgive, we feel stress-free. When we create, we live with inspiration. When we follow our inner direction, we feel alive. Is that even a choice?

Mind, Spirit, Soul, Principle, Life, Truth, and Love are the essence of Divinity and are frequently used synonyms for God in metaphysics. Being conscious of any of these qualities means being conscious of gratitude, happiness, completeness, and freedom. These spiritual elements are not only the structure of God but, wonderfully, they are also the structure of us. We are constituted of Divinity itself – nothing else, nothing less.

Love is to free, not to imprison.

Any activity such as dancing which involves frequent, long-term interaction with another person creates a great deal of mental, emotional, and physical memory in our being.

Dancing, at its best, is independence and intimacy in balance.

We bring all that we are to any partnership and certainly to dancing. Even without touching, the energy field around each person touches the other’s auric field. And, of course, the eyes are the transparent waterway to the soul. Do not the eyes tell a million stories? Whether conscious of it or not, we want to extend ourselves through this contact with another soul or souls.

Do not assume that someone else’s ego can love you. It cannot. It does not even love the person it resides in. The limit of the ego’s 'love' is to decide that you are a temporary ally and thus it will protect you for the benefit of its own use. Only a soul can accept and return love. Everything else is manipulation. Fragile arrangements. They are, at best, suspicious and, at worst, vicious.

When we maintain a conscious connection with Gratitude, our presence will naturally radiate a certain beauty and undisturbed, inner tranquillity. Such individuals glow. All such individuals look beautiful and seem irresistible to those who value goodness. They have an attractor field of loveliness which, likewise, tends to bring out the beauty in other people.
