We just have to get our timing down right and get the chemistry going. It carried over from the fall, that if we run our routes exactly the way he thinks we're going to run them, then he'll put the ball right there.

I thought we played well in the second half, but Bassett played outstanding in the first half and throughout the whole game. My hat's off to them (Bassett). They're a great ball club.

John's breakthrough was a new way of teaching. He boiled all his knowledge into a system, and it just made teaching so much more efficient. John could walk a line of students and basically know a person's whole shot pattern from where the ball went after one swing. And then he would convey the information so that person could basically fix himself.

We've got to be able to move the ball, run the ball and throw it. I think they felt that they could stop the run, so they just wanted to focus on stopping the pass.
