When you see Major League Baseball putting academies in other countries, obviously that throws up a red flag. You wonder why they ain't going up in our neighborhood. Bottom line, what I see, I talk about... I see it over and over. If anybody can show me I'm wrong, then show me.

We know what this is about, regardless of what anybody says. They've had their way with us pretty much this year, and we have to go out and change that in our favor.

I don't want anybody to take my kindness as a weakness. Like I said before, this is where I want to be, but don't test me. It never was a done deal. It was a possibility. I'm happy about that. But there's two sides to that. On one side, I trust you, but don't play me. I don't care who it is, if it's the Boss, if it's him, don't play me. There are plenty of other teams out there that want my services ... that's the bottom line.

We had a close-knit family. That's one reason I was probably more shocked than anybody that someone in my family was on drugs.

The bottom line, ... is why should you be trying to get anybody on your side if you're doing the right thing in the first place?
