Wisdom is when you understand what, previously, at best you only knew.

For he was walking along the road one day when he saw a stone on the ground. It had written on it, "TURN ME OVER AND READ." So he picked it up and looked at the other side. And there was written, "WHY DO YOU SEEK MORE KNOWLEDGE WHEN YOU PAY NO HEED TO WHAT YOU KNOW ALREADY?

You want to become wise in one lesson:First become a real human being.

PEOPLEKick them -- they'll forgive you. Flatter them -- they may or may not see through you.But ignore, them, and they'll hate you, even if they conceal it until they die.

Many people imagine that any higher human development, if it exists at all, must follow a pattern whose form (or at least whose beginning) is instantly perceptible to them as such.In making this assumption these people expose themselves to control by any systems which can take advantage of this expectation. And systems do take advantage of this,

Sufism is known by means of itself.

Sufism is therefore not 'Do as I say and not as I do', or even 'Do as I do', but 'Experience it and you will know'.

There is a Persian proverb: 'To test that which has been tested is ignorance.' To try to test something without the means of testing is even worse.

Many things which are called 'secrets' are only things withheld from people until they can understand or effectively experience them.
