There is no such thing as love without pain. Love is committed and very vulnerable. In love, we open our hearts and make the cords of our most tender emotions available to the plucking fingers of other people. In sharing the love of God, it is inevitable that we will also share His suffering.

Love seeks its life outside itself; self seeks its life in itself. Love, in order to secure and produce, sacrifices selfishness; while self, in order to possess, keeps itself and sacrifices love.

The cross has never been compatible to any culture. Its preaching has always established a counter-culture. Jesus Christ is timeless. He is not the product of any human culture and thus has never been enmeshed in any one culture. He both transforms and transcends culture.

The strongest statement against eternal security is the word of Jesus, "Every branch in me that beareth not fruit, He taketh away: If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered.

We know that the church is God’s earthly body of flesh, which is to manifest or reveal Jesus to the people of this earth. It is God’s instrument of Gospel propagation throughout the world.
