There were too many infected running around. Some looked as if they were dead already, but still they stumbled around like heroine addicts. Those ones did not move as fast as the newly infected, who were actually capable of running like a perfectly healthy person. They were the scary ones to worry about. All it took was one bite to ruin your day.

It is a plague of unprecedented proportions. Anyone, who is unfortunate enough to become infected by its deadly parasites, is transformed into a mindless carrier with an inane desire to feed and spread the virus to other potential hosts. Even death is no escape.

She was infected and she would eventually die. It was a cold hard fact. They all knew it.

His mind was still at the precinct, where he saw his friend being yanked out of the car. It was an image he would never forget. He dreaded the terrifying experience that must have followed for her. He had a feeling he was going to have nightmares for years.

I can’t believe this is happening. My best friend is dead. Zombies are real??? The whole city is going to burn and we’re going to die!

That was another friend lost because of the virus. He wondered when it would end, if ever. He had a feeling there would be a lot more deaths to follow in the near future.

If I didn’t know any better, I’d say he was a zombie for the simple reason that I thought he was dead, but then he seemingly came back to life and tried to eat my girlfriend. If that doesn’t make him a zombie, I don’t know what does!

He fell backwards from the force of the shots, but he did not die, for how can you kill what is already dead?

I’d rather be in trouble a safe distance away, than to die here for something stupid.
