One of the things that I hope we will do is look at this as an opportunity ? to shine a bright light on poverty in America and do something about it nationally,

It's not about John Kerry's past or the president's past, ... This election is about the future and the new ideas we have that will change America so that it works for all of us.

I know that John Kerry will make this country stronger and more secure for my children and for your children, ... And he will build an America that's stronger at home and respected in the world.

I have this kind of curious notion that I think actually most voters in America make their own decision about who they believe should be the president of the United States. I don't think you can tell them what to do.

I believe in an America where the family you're born into never controls your destiny,

You and I together can change all this, ... We can build one America where everybody has the same chance.

To be true to our values, our country must build a working society ? an America where everyone who works hard finally has the rewards to show for it,
