Out on the street, you never know what you're getting, and suddenly two days later you're beating yourself in the head with a tennis racket, wearing a towel, quoting Poe. You don't want that for your kid. You really don't want that.

I had just had a daughter, who was three or three-and-half years old, and I had been watching nothing but cartoons. That's really it. There was no YouTube. You're in France and you're raising a kid, so you break out the Tex Avery.

We would just go out and line up a bunch of cans and shoot with rifles, handguns and at times, submachine guns... When I was a kid it was a controlled atmosphere, we weren't shooting at humans... we were shooting at cans and bottles mostly. I will most certainly take my kids out for target practice.

Luckily the kids are pretty well-balanced and well-grounded and not monster-like at all.

My kids, they're my energy, my soul, and my nicest friend.

There's no reason to be otherwise...I think that the kids that come around, it's so nice to meet them. For all intents and purposes they're my boss, they keep me employed.
