You won’t get what you want merely by wishing for it. Dreams rarely come true on their own.

We talk about brainwashing as though it were a bad thing. Everyone is brainwashed. Everyone is indoctrinated. The only question is whether we're indoctrinated with facts or fiction.

Great opportunities come as often from saying "No" as they do from saying "Yes.

Influence is the result of multiple systems working together in harmony. A car has systems to start the engine, move, steer, stop, and keep passengers safe. However, if the car isn't in gear then all the other systems are meaningless. Similarly, if one of your systems of influence is missing, or not working optimally, you will find it difficult to make progress.

Love, and specifically good will, is key to influence. Without it, you can do everything else right and still have no influence. With love, you can do everything else wrong and still make an impact.

A life without influence is a life without meaning.
