Love, and specifically good will, is key to influence. Without it, you can do everything else right and still have no influence. With love, you can do everything else wrong and still make an impact.

Count yourself blessed if you have something you love to do, but you are rarely able to do it because you're too busy doing something else you love even more.

Without love, influence is merely transactional and lasts only as long as there is a clear, mutual benefit.

We love those whom we serve. I did not immediately love my daughter when she was born, but as I took care of her and served her, I grew to love her. Whenever I do not feel love towards someone I try to serve them, and then the feelings come.
