Even though tomorrow will be dark for me, I thank you for trying to bring me to the light.

But shouting is only shouting, Karika, and threats can’t change anything. There’s a reason why the devil is desperate to keep us from the light. Evil deeds, evil people will never prevail as long as there’s light.

There will always be darkness. There will always be more rain after the storm has ceased. But we need to search for the rainbow between those moments.

I picked up the back of the shirt, the light breen scales shimmering in the makeshift lighting of the bathroom. Something light swims up inside of me. Something like hope. Maybe I would be able to do it.

The light will and can never be smothered in darkness.
