Religion is an inherited form. Sufism on the other hand existed before religion. Do not make a religion out of your experience. Rather, focus on what gave birth to religion, and the rest will flow naturally.

It' doesn't care whether you go to church or not. 'It' doesn't care whether you join a religion of not. 'It' is a mystery that comes and goes as 'It' wishes, and when 'It' wishes.

People flock into churches to have the world explained to them in a neat little package. For most people, religion is chaos insurance. Religion lays down a template on the world so that people can try to make some sense of it. The problem is that people end up living in the template and shutting out reality altogether.

It is essential to realize that while religion may provide a comforting and enjoyable weekly experience, as you attend church every Sunday with your family, religion is no substitute for immediate consciousness of the ultimate reality.
