A well-rounded person should be open to both science and spirituality. We can learn from both. One without the other, it seems to me, is insufficient to appreciating and understanding our place in the Universe.

Science is a tool to help us all find the truth based on facts and evidence. It is not a religion. Yet many people are treating it as such, as a matter of faith or belief. If your religion contradicts the facts and evidence of science, it ought to make you reconsider what it is you believe.

The more we understand the One Idea, how all of life is interconnected and interdependent, the more we can act in positive ways for the good of all.

Our science and technology are advancing rapidly, but our ability to understand the interconnected ramifications of the application of the technology is not keeping pace. Wisdom is required. We must become aware of the consequences for any alterations we humans might make to the natural world.
