Never sell your soul to buy their validation.

Stop accepting, "You love who you love", and start believing, "You love who loves you.

If someone doesn't like you because they tell others, "you come off as being" one way or another, they obviously haven't taken time to even know you, much less form a valid reason to dislike you. Bottom line, their opinion does not matter. Focus on the real ones in your life.

I think about all the times I was expected to "tone down my personality" and asked to "not be so outspoken", and challenged because I did not "know my place". Those are the times I am proud to say, I did not meet expectations.

Love who you are, as you are, where you are because you are amazing!

There is a book burning inside me. A story that I know must be told... When there is an awakening of one's consciousness and a desire to tell of truths many pray stay buried... it is only a matter of time before one's experiences are laid bare on their respective pages.

I was told (by a man) "Women's History" month was just a "man made" (note the irony) observation that adds little to no value to society. Fortunately the woman who raised me, the women who mentored me and those who crashed through ceilings, kicked down doors, shattered stereotypes, forged paths to freedom or otherwise helped build a nation and change the world... disagree. As do I. So I will always pay it forward.
