Our guards didn't try to do too much with the basketball.

We battled; we played hard. We played a great 45 minutes of basketball. To be honest, we had three opportunities in overtime to win it and just couldn't execute.

We didn't give up. It was a hostile environment (with 3,500 fans in White Auditorium) and a rough basketball game. To come back and play well speaks a lot for the character of this basketball team.

It was a very positive game tonight. I think that proves to me and to a lot of people that this basketball team is heading in the right direction, and is probably good enough on any given night to beat some of the best teams in the region.

It was a very special day for those two young ladies. It was very important for this basketball program to get a win for them.
