Experience. You play it, day in and day out. You've got to do it on your own. It's the same thing Billy Hall went through two years ago. Look where he's at now. There's no quick fix.

To get this win off of a guy the caliber of Chris Carpenter , it's just a huge win for us. We had timely hits and big nights out of J.J. (Hardy), Overbay, and Billy (Hall).

Billy looked like he was playing in for the bunt.

Billy knows his role. His versatility gives us a weapon at more than one position. He will get his playing time.

Billy is like the pitching coach of the bullpen. He's a great compliment to (pitching coach) Mike Maddux and he has played a big part in the success we've had out there. When those guys come in the game, he's got them ready to go.

That's going to be the hardest thing I'm going to have to do this season is finding Billy Hall playing time.

He got a pitch in on Carlos that Carlos hit out of the park, and Billy drove a pitch out over the plate, but other than that we couldn't muster much offense off him.

When Billy gets hot, he can do some damage. He never hits those high, long ones. He hits laser shots.
