Small steps may appear unimpressive, but don't be deceived. They are the means by which perspectives are subtly altered, mountains are gradually scaled, and lives are drastically changed.

The only way to change the world is to quit thinking it's a job for Superman. Real power lies in your own hands.

It's impossible to be involved in all situations, but there's no excuse not to be involved in something, somewhere, somehow, with someone. Make an ounce of difference.

You can blame everyone for your circumstances, but that will not change the fact that you still must live in them. Change does not come until you take responsibility for your choices and proceed to do something. You must make the change happen. You must do it. In truth, no one else is to blame if things fail to change.

You would think this was common sense, but apparently not: quit doing things you do not want others to do. You will never bring about desired change when your example screams contrarily.

The most effective, lasting, compassionate form of teaching is through example. If you want to teach a child to write, write passionately. If you want to teach a child to dance, dance with abandon. If you want to teach a child to care, extend a hand of service and compassion. If you want a child to listen, listen to him intently. If you want to change the world, then be that change. Your example is more influential than you can imagine.

Change is as sure or as questionable as your resolve.

Becoming the person you want to be always involves work. It requires purpose, dedication, perseverance, and a fair amount of deliberate change.

It is okay to alter your original plans. To try means to learn. To learn means to grow. To grow means to change.
