You can blame everyone for your circumstances, but that will not change the fact that you still must live in them. Change does not come until you take responsibility for your choices and proceed to do something. You must make the change happen. You must do it. In truth, no one else is to blame if things fail to change.

We try so hard to instruct our children in all the right things―teaching good from bad, explaining choices and consequences―when in reality most lessons are learned through observation and experience. Perhaps we'd be better off training our youth to be highly observant.

You are here to make a difference, to either improve the world or worsen it. And whether or not you consciously choose to, you will accomplish one or the other.

Every brush stroke on the canvas, every dab of color introduced, the fine textures impressed in the paint—this accumulation of many small acts combines to shape a final work of art.  And so it is with life; each step, each deed, each brief choice builds gradually, day by day, to shape both character and destiny.

Pain defines moments in the lives of all human beings. The trial is not the endurance of pain but the choices we make regarding how to endure.

You need tell me nothing; I already know your heart. Through your simplest choices you've given yourself away.
