Disappointments are healthy for us. They tame egos, deflate pride, and soften hearts while cultivating respect for the struggles experienced by all humanity.

I felt sad.I felt cold.I felt hurt.I felt forsaken and lonely.I felt doubtful and hesitant.I felt scared and deeply worried. I felt different, unknown, and unwelcome.I felt empty and woefully neglected.I felt weak and intimidated.I felt withdrawn and shy.I felt utterly hopeless.Then you held my hand, and I felt better.

Having this, we want that.Owning some, we want more.Standing here, we wish to be there.If it's impossible, we struggle to make it happen.Why are we like this? Why not be content with some, here, and now? Why is enough not enough? Because humans are ambitious creatures not meant to be idle or fruitless. We strive to learn, to grow, to achieve, to amass; therefore, we will never be content.

Oh so simple, and yet oh so mighty are acts of human kindness.

Time passes…..and a billion lives are affected in ways we’ll never know.

Man is dust. Rue is rain. Life is mud.

Every single voice—no matter how soft the peep—longs to be heard.

Freedom is the atmosphere in which humanity thrives. Breathe it in.

Kindness is still the best antidote.
