Rare and precious moments, how I long to live with you eternally! If only your sweetness never ceased to touch my lips, and the flutters you evoke nevermore faded away. I dream of your arm extended immeasurably to keep hold of my reaching hand. But Father Time, being a cruel master, will not grant such a wish. And so I tuck you away as cherished memories, stored in a treasure box buried in my heart. And in times of solitude, I shall bring you out to view like rainbows.

Yes, I am uncertain and a little afraid of what the future holds. Nonetheless, I have confidence that whatever lies ahead will preserve what is dear to me and consume the darkest shadows of my past. Some memories I will treasure forever. Some memories are best erased.

There are an abundance of things in my life that I would not have picked out for me, yet I value those items, experiences, customs, and memories because they were given to me by someone I love.

Not every experience in life is sweet. Be grateful if at least some of them provide sweet memories.

I find only sadness and melancholy when I wade through the past, even when revisiting good memories. The past is gone; I can neither grasp it nor reshape it. Therefore, I must force my eyes to look toward the future where my mortal powers thrive.
