The most effective, lasting, compassionate form of teaching is through example. If you want to teach a child to write, write passionately. If you want to teach a child to dance, dance with abandon. If you want to teach a child to care, extend a hand of service and compassion. If you want a child to listen, listen to him intently. If you want to change the world, then be that change. Your example is more influential than you can imagine.

You can teach a person all you know, but only experience will convince him that what you say is true.

You cannot know what I do not tell you, yet you will be judged harshly for not knowing.

Without you there would be no me. I am everything reflected in your eyes. I am everything approved by your smile. I am everything born of your guidance. I am me only because of you.

You can't make me be nice.You can't make me be good.You can't make me believe.But your example, your kindness, your patience and love will affect me perhaps enough that eventually I may choose to do those things.
