I’ve finally figured out a way to stand strong on my own.

and then there was that time you sucked down your fear, breathed into it, faced it with a courage that moves mountains, and you stepped right into that thing, that situation, that experience moments and forever before had crippled and controlled you, and had you believing you could never rise up to meet it. but you did, because you could. and you will again, because you can. yes, you can.

Only when I quit lying to myself did I discover the real beauty of my truth.

When someone rejects you, for whatever reason, that rejection reflects their wants, not your limitations. you are in no way defined by the rejection, or the acceptance, of anyone else. your worth depends on no one. and as hard as it can be to see it as such, there is just as big a gift in not connecting with those who don’t see your value, as there is in uniting with those who do.

I will forever remind you that you are gifted, strong and beautiful, exactly as you are. Will you forever remind yourself, too?

If you need to scream, find a safe place, then scream.
