Laws of Karma work in unexpected ways. Help someone who doesn’t deserve it. Sometimes a poisonous well may have the pearl you are looking for.

You watch cute dog videos today. Tomorrow you discover videos of injured animals. Then you discover videos on animal cruelty. Then you get angry. Then you start seeing cruelty everywhere. News and incidents of cruelty reach you before anyone else. You start going deeper and deeper into an endless spiral.

You are infinite but the character you're playing has certain boundaries. Before you discover those healthy boundaries, you will be so excessively kind that your soul will cry and so excessively mean that your conscience will hurt.

While being non-violent to others, don't start doing violence to your own self. That would be doing the same thing in reverse.

In passion we lose the sense of right and wrong. In compassion we transcend the notions of right and wrong. Love is a flight from passion to compassion. A caged bird falls into the fire of passion only to burn the cage. Then it flies freely in the skies of compassion.

Give and take is the way of the world. But when you give something with compassion and take something with gratitude, you are away from the world and nearer to the supreme power.

Kindness often comes from a guilt-ridden mind, compassion comes from an aware soul. Kindness is selective, compassion is for all. For example, kind people often take care of dogs and cats but create nuisance for their fellow human beings. They often believe in a world without borders but become a tool in the hands of one country to harm another country.

Experiencing a particular thing strongly is passion. Experiencing everything deeply is compassion. The short-lived flame of passion must be used to discover the eternal Sun of compassion. Otherwise you will feel cheated every time a passion dies.

You see a woman showing immense affection to her child and her dog. Then you see the same woman hating others' children and eating other animals. These kind of people have no love inside them. They are just soul-less bags of flesh and blood that react to external stimulants.
