A chemical may react with some chemicals and remain indifferent to others. Similarly we get attached to some people (positively or negatively) and remain indifferent to others. Attachment is not love. Love makes you realize that you are something more than an organism, more than a body-mind.

Opposite of love is attachment, not hate. Hate is an explicit form of attachment. Love takes you towards freedom, attachment binds you more and more.

Voices of head and heart should be independent. If your head sees benefit in someone, don’t let your heart create false liking for that person. And if your heart likes a person, don’t let your mind create false arguments to justify the liking.

Love is a spontaneous energy. You can't forcefully direct it towards someone. Marriage is an odd mixture of love and duty. Many married couples say that love has vanished between them; they are in it only to fulfill duty. But they keep quarrelling. Because love energy doesn't vanish. It changes its form and becomes bitterness, anger, hate etc.

We fall in mad love and mad hatred with our fantasies, not with real people. No real person deserves mad love and mad hatred.

Sometimes the universe uses an nasty person to pull you out of your comfort zone and throw you into an opportunity.

When a fruit becomes ripe and separates from the tree, that is a proper ending of relationship. But human relationships rarely have such ending. That’s why there is always an urge to re-start the relationship, just to have a proper ending.

Love and hate both are attachments. If you love apple and hate orange, life will give you such a hybrid of apple and orange that you will neither be able to eat it nor throw it. So, don’t let your dislikes turn into hate.

Turn off the sound and watch a slap scene in a movie. Even if the gap between hand and check remains one feet, sound effect makes you feel that slap is real.When the picture is incomplete, your mind fills in your own colours in the gaps. If you are madly in love with someone, you will believe their most absurd lies. If you hate someone, you won’t even believe absolute truths told by them.
