If you have done something foolish, swallow the bad feeling and close the circle. If you carry around the guilt, it will push you down a spiral path.

Nobody can understand your pain, Even your future self will not understand the pain you are going through in the present.The memory of pain or description of pain is like a painful movie scene while the pain in the present is hard reality.

See the past memories as just information, not a hard reality that you have lived. Then they will become detachable like a Pen Drive. Everything around you will feel new. You will be like a Time traveller who has just checked in to this moment.

When you wrongly blame a person for your misery, you create a fictitious entity that has no connection with that real person, you create a ghost that will possess you and eat you piece by piece.

You have planted the new sapling under the shadow of your past. And then you complain that it's not growing. How will it grow without proper sunlight?

Your body-mind has a past, not you. You are eternal.

Look at the things around you. Their visual is reaching to your eyes through light. Then your mind processes those visuals. It takes time for those visuals to reach you and get processed in mind. Even though that time is very small... say, a tiny fraction of second. Even the sensation of something happening in your own body takes time before it reaches you as an experience.Technically, whatever you are watching or feeling happened in the past (a fraction of second ago).

Your memories are just a backstory required for you to act out the present scene.

You can't selectively clean bad things from the past. Entire past -- good and bad both-- gets cleaned at once in the shower of divine love or supreme knowledge.
