In the village of light, there lived a man. Out of curiosity, he once crossed the village boundary and met the darkness and gave her the offering of dark thoughts and dark deeds. When he returned to his village, the light shamed him for what he did. So he ran back to darkness and did more dark deeds. Since then he is running between light and darkness... wait a minute. The light is also acting as an agent of darkness here.

To know the path of supreme truth, young Shani Deva first went to the Light. When the Light refused to tell the path, he went to the Darkness. There he discovered his own inner light which showed him the path. Light and darkness both are in your mind. When you accept both or reject both, you discover your own inner light which comes from the soul.

When it's dark and you are alone, you start humming or create some other distraction to avoid fear. Who creates fear and then offers distraction? UsBoth are done by your mind to stop you from meeting your true self. Mind plays both side of the game.

Your outer self has 5 layers. Society wants you to stay within 4 layers: There are gyms for body, the circus to pump up your head, cinema for your heart, religion for your morality. Nobody is there for 5th layer.5th layer is the dark forest full of guilt, shame, dark thoughts, immoral decisions, emptiness and so on. An individual has to cross this forest alone to reach the most beautiful flower - your pure inner self.

My child, if you think you have done something wrong, come to me first. If you keep on hiding from me, you will sink deeper and deeper into darkness.

If there is darkness in your life, the wheel of Time will turn and bring light again. There is nothing magical about it. Magic happens when you use the phase of darkness to discover your inner light which is permanent, eternal and unaffected by the wheel of Time.

Come, O darkness, come! Swallow all the shadows I have been chasing all my life. I want to meet my true self at the break of dawn.

Awakened ones are like the cool shadow of a tree. Light is harsh because of ego. Shadow has all the qualities of light except the ego. It is compassionate towards darkness also but it never steps into darkness.

Suppose a Sun many times brighter than our Sun comes up in the sky. After we get used to its light, it goes away. Then our Sun will feel like moon to us and what we call as “light” will seem like darkness. So light and darkness are relative terms. Darkness is just less light.
