Expectations are like tall buildings with no stairs or elevators. People pelt you into high floors but there is no way to come down. You try to keep living there and suffer.

When you expect reward and don't get it, it feels like punishment. When you expect love and don't get it, it feels like hate. With expectations we create opposite of what we expect.

Whether you disappoint someone or make them happy, in both cases you engage and occupy their mind. In both cases you give them what their mind craves for : any form of engagement.

Those who love each other bring changes in each other. But intentionally trying to change someone is like violating their body, mind and soul. First accept them as they are. Then let your loving presence bring changes naturally.
