When people see a beautiful flower bloomed in deep forest, they want to capture it in their little box and take it home. They try to fill the ocean in their little bucket. They are not ready to merge in the ocean. They are not ready to let go of themselves. As a result, spirituality and religion becomes just another circus.

First people keep going deeper and deeper into crap. When they want to exit, they think that the path will be all holy and beautiful. No. To come out of crap, you have to come through crap. All these holy things just help you to bear the crap a little longer.

Yes, you're blessed to be on the spiritual path. But to cut through last layers of your ego and clean all your prejudices, a Guru may hammer you with a statement such as this: "A person is reading vogue magazine and another person is reading religious texts. Both are caught up in their own little world. Both think they are superior than the other.

11 cricketers play for India but a billion people give opinions, do gossip and enjoy the game as a fan. Same thing is in spirituality/religion. Only a few people seek the eternal truth/God. Others are happy being fans of their respective Gurus, gods and ancient culture.

Gratitude is often mistaken with humility. Gratitude erupts from inside you. You wear humility out of fear of losing things. One technique to experience gratitude is to sleep on the floor and fast. No fear... No insecurity... Pure gratitude for simple things such as food and bed.

You are not the only occupant of your body-mind. Other bodyless beings often take over your body-mind and do their deeds.

Not everyone who reads ancient books is a seeker. Most of them just relate to the characters and stories just like we relate to the characters of other books and TV shows.

Painful experiences of the past are carved on your ego. Peel off all layers of your ego and you will find your spotless, pure and shining soul underneath.

If you don't try to define Him like scholars do, if you don't reduce Him to a mere concept, any path can lead you to Him. Even thieves and decoits can find a sharp exit on their path and merge with Him.
