Suppose you see a person in a secure and homely environment. You don't interact with them but your mind registers some feature of them. Then you see the same feature in a stranger in a strange environment. You will feel a sweet curiosity and attraction towards that stranger because they will give you secure and homely feeling at a strange place.

When attraction is not strong enough, it turns into irritation. If you like mangoes, but not so much that you would do all the effort required in getting them on plate and cleaning the mess thereafter, you would just stay in your comfort zone and feel irritated.

You avoid a path populated by hyenas. That's not your fear. That's your awareness of your surrounding. That's what makes you a living being.

For those who live in the body, death is the biggest fear. For those who live in the mind, there are much bigger fears than death; There are moments when death almost feels like a relief.

Mind buries bad memories deep into the subconscious and keeps good memories on the surface. Your 'good old days' were not as good as your mind makes you believe.

It's easy to say forget and forgive. You can completely forget and forgive only when you reach at your destination and look back and see that it all happened for good.

In divine love or devotion, you lose yourself like ice melts into water. In love, you just lose control over yourself like iron loses control near a magnet; And when you regain control, you feel bad.

We all have soft spots hidden behind a cover. Once in a while they get exposed and make us cry. But if you're always in victim mode, you're deliberately keeping your soft spots exposed to get a twisted kind of pain and pleasure out of them.
