The difference between a realized Yogi and a spiritual teacher is similar to the difference between a billionaire and a motivational speaker.

Your inner self is complete in itself. It doesn't require anything and yet everything is available to it.

What if these people and things (including your body-mind) are just an illusion appearing on a screen? What if you are the only reality? What if you're the only one in the universe? What if you're the Paramatma?

If you identify yourself as this clay lamp, your soul becomes rooted to one place. If you identify as the flame, your soul can switch through thousands of flames burning all over the world.

When Maya (external world) gives you (the soul) a rose (good or bad experience), you feel indebted (Karmic Debt). You feel bound to give her company. When you realize that the Maya will go on even when you are not with her, you will get the courage to do the divine break-up. You will get liberation.

When you recall a scene from your past, you're actually seeing your past self as a third person, you are taking an overhead shot of that scene. Yogis can do that with their present and future scenes too.
